it's not just about houses, it's about giving hope.
just got back from the HOMEWORKS cip at tiong bahru. the studio apartments that we studied in social studies! haha so exciting. (:
woke up bright and early to meet chuan at amk mrt. it's not even bright cos the sun wasnt out YET.
supposed to help someone clean up their house but the unit that me and chuan plus jennifer, shiyun, were assigned to was super clean and quite tidy.
so.
i ended up painting the door!
the ah ma very nice. and cute. hahah.
she insisted on having a pink door to match her pink gates.
and only white paint was provided so we went to buy her PINK paint for her from downstairs. :DD
door painting was very fun!
dont ask me wht was so fun about painting the door. LOL.
but in the end we NEARLY had not enough paint and half of the door ALMOST turned purple.
hahah.
mixed the paint with turpentine and managed to cover the whole door with pink paint. (mixed with abit of purple. :D)
i think im expert in painting doors alrdy. hoho. i took a photo of the door! and with the ah ma. but my stupid phone cable isnt working again.
i think the ah ma rocks too.
she's eighty four and she's still very alert!
can rmb whr are all her things and everything.
she was working as a seamstress until two years ago when she fell down.
AND AND! her husband looks like thomas ong la, the actor in the nine pm lawyer show.
LOL. but tt was like probably fifty years ago. cos we saw the photo. hahah.
bus journey home was super SUPER long. took 855.
hahah. kept nodding off and oscillating about.
damn irritating la. chuan also. she's worse! :/
and i couldnt find it.
im so so sleepy and shagged after painting the door.

thanks to QIAN, CHICKEN CHOP and BOBO who decided to pon school simultaneously tdy, i had a damn quiet day in school la. :/
hahah. but the dance was quite fun!
cos our pe group only got two classes. so we got to learn better. (:
and i felt safer dancing with all the familiar faces. hahah. i knew almost everyone thr.
got wilson as my learning partner. OMG i felt quite bad cos i deprived him of his chance to dance with chuan. )): LOL.
ran eight rounds with chuan after PE. wanted to run twelve but i had stitches!
its okay! our aim tmr is twelve rounds! :DD 4.8km.
oh man. havent ran tt for so long.

chicken chop kept making me laugh in the reading room tdy.
thankfully i got strong stomach muscles.
for that split second, i lost my concentration.
but i got it back.

volleyball during pe was fun. although i think our wrists will break or sth if we use the real volleyball la.
basketball wasnt bad too! haha. i got a nice chop! ((:
but most prob tt one was a tyco shot. LOL.
but studying wasnt productive today. din spend alot of time in reading room.

teng's birthday ytd and we went town to have a nice meal and watched john tucker must die. (:
before tt me and chuan met up to mug for awhile. AWHILE only.
dined at MAESTRO BISTRO. the ambience was really nice!
and we were so overwhelmed by the choices of dishes that we took almost half an hour to decide on the main course. haha.
teng had fish and chips, i had swedish meatballs and chuan had steak and chips. (dont ever eat the steak thr okay, unless you have a really tough jaw. LOL.)
fish and chips! the purple veggie looks weird. hahah.
my swedish meatballs! okay it doesnt look appetising but its very nice! better than the un-chewable steak. :p try spotting the potatoes. hahah.
yes, okay i know im spastic. hahah!
chuan's steak. it looks nice but its so hard to chew! :/
anyway we took ALOT ALOT of photos while waiting for the desserts and after we finised eating everything. (:
we took another half an hour to decide which desserts to order. :DD
my oreo ice cream mudpie! :DD i know it doesnt look like one but its okay! cos it tasted damn nice. OREO! LOL.
thr's an oreo cookie hidden underneath the whipped cream! :DD
my diet's like, totally gone after this meal.

nobody cared about them.
went to the block cleaning briefing at bestway building with chuan tdy.
im gna spend my next saturday helping to clean up the one-room flats for the elderly. (:
during the briefing they sort of intro-ed to us wht we'll be doing and taught us the basic things we need to know. like, we must be more sensitive to the old folks when we interact with them.
must try to psycho them to throw away their things, cos some of them keep things like newspapers from the ancient times and some tie strings and cloths all over at home. LOL.
quite looking forward, but i hope i wont faint when i see their SUPER MESSY AND DIRTY houses.
i dont even do housework at home! wht if i cannot survive. hahah.
luckily me and chuan are in the same group. and we're in the six ppl group!
which means the house we're assigned to is SLIGHTLY less messy. :D
din see any jc students at the briefing, most probably cos its jus before promos?
yea, but its for a good cause! so i dont mind. ((:
all the rest are adults la. so intimidating.
i wna help them paint their gates!
it looks fun.
but im not looking forward to cleaning their toilets. :/
some of the pictures they showed during the briefing just now were quite scary. scarily messy and filthy.
but i'll TRY. (: and! i pray and hope tt my unit has no bed bugs. even though i've nv seen them before but they sound horrible enough.
and most of the elderly there are abandoned by their children and have no other family.
tt's like really sad. they're just like this detached community that most people have forgotten about.
so i dont mind sacrificing abit of my time to make their home a better environment for them, cos i cant help much in other ways.
the tshirt is quite nice though. (: hahah.
think this blocking cleaning thing is quite a large scale event, with VIPS and guest of honours and the media.
yea. never mind! i shall update after the event. :D
pe ytd was a nightmare.
had to dance the super spastic cowboy dance.
and remind me to pon next week la. got chacha. omg. tt's worse!

this embarassing girl made us super embarassed at kfc tdy. :/
she placed her un-wallet-like "wallet" on the tray and forgot to take it back when the auntie cleared our tables.
when we were about to leave she shouted for her wallet.
and we poor kaifong had to search/dig/rummage through THREE RUBBISH BINS to get her wallet back.
cos apparently the auntie had some short termed memory loss and she directed us to the wrong bin.
kfc only had three bins!
but it jus has to be the LAST bin.
while kaifong was trying very hard, me, chuan and teng jus stood around admiring. lol.
not that we din wna help. BUT.
and we got super alot of stares from other school students la.
omg. aj's reputation. yanling jus destroyed it tdy. hahah.
and not like there's any point in getting back her THING. only two bucks inside. the ezlink card and the cashcard had no value stored inside. :/
we complained about yanling the whole time we walked back from kfc to aj.
and spread it to everyone we know on the way to reading room. ((:
thank god im not that embarassing.
at least my wallet was found at the bus interchange, not at the rubbish dumps or anything. ha.
studied chem bonding with chuan, teng and earnest at the reading room after that.
not too productive with all the distractions and noise. ):
okay, towards the back it DID get better cos practically everyone left alrdy. and we were the last to leave the reading room. :D
and i shall pon school on thursday cos i dont wna learn the super disgusting mickey mouse dance.

yay. felt so accomplished after studying with chuan at macs from nine plus this morning to three plus in the afternoon. ((:
altho we din study ALL THE WAY. but still! :DD
wilson came to join us for awhile and did some integration i think.
hahah. then he went off to his grandma hse.
in between when we got bored studying we started entertaining ourselves by imagining ourselves to be kebabs and tempuras.
haha HOW LAME CAN WE GET. :DD
i love studying at the macs near my house! (:
quite conducive. nice place to study.
but i cant stand the stupid extra loud and distracting jungle commercial.
can the macs ppl pls remove tt commercial! eee.

im the ultimate.
slept for a grand total of erm EIGHTEEN hours ytd. :DD
went home to sleep after shopping at j8 with chuan for her formal wear.
got to bed at four pm. slept till six thirty, then woke up for awhile to eat dinner before going back to bed.
woke up at nine thirty to brush my teeth and went back to sleep till eight this morning.
ate breakfast, read newspapers.
took a short nap at ten cos i felt sleepy again.
hahah then i woke up for lunch. :D
there's nth wrong with me okay. im jus storing up energy before school reopens. (:
im so not looking forward to all the mugging and stuff. blahhhh.
OH and i had lots of dreams in between my sleep.
its so strange i cant remember any of them now.
i practically slept the seventh of september away.
my physical's BAD now. and tt's so sad.
we've trained hard for so long! and cos of the break we're having for promos our standard's dropping like mad.
okay. shall go for runs whenever im free, like for instance when i take a break from studying. HAHAH. :/
i shall throw away all the food at home because i'll go hunt for sth to eat whenever i attempt to study. then i end up eating. ): rahh.
and i nearly lost my pouch for the SECOND time ytd.
luckily it dropped on the bus.
made chuan go with me to the amk interchange to get it back.
at first we went up the empty bus to search, and found nth.
my heart was beating damn fast la.
and my pouch turned out to be with the bus captain.
thank god.
so embarassing la. and i had to thank the ppl at the interchange a few thousand times.
felt damn relieved after i got it back.

teachers' day ytd started off with this huge downpour and so we din get to dance the super fun ACES day dance!
so sad la.
teachers' day concert in the hall... was okay. hahah. normal aj standard lo.
:DD and i was pleasantly suprised.
eileen suddenly so nice huh. bought me toblerone for no particular reason.
but she got a hug from me! hoho. worth it la. :p
rushed back to st nicks after the concert.
talked to mrs khong, chun yu and siew kim for abit.
din see teck chan! i wondered wht happened to her.
sat in the canteen to talk and take photos for some time.
then we went to pop sparkling juice at the vineyard with ms tan and siew kim. :D
jus like wht we did for sec three/four teachers' day i cant really rmb.
stayed in st nicks till three plus then went to swensen's to eat ice cream! (:
hahah we ended up playing truth or dare.
nobody chosed dare cos we had to ask the waiter back for our digusting dry ice. LOL.
all the gossips flew about and we had fun laughing at joanne!
hahah. tt girl loves talking about her own scandals. poor jovena's scandals got publicised by her too.
i spreaded teng's and she loud-speaker-ed mine too.
hahah. FAIR okay.
next time we shld get someone who knows abt mingyee's scandals. ;)
we were having so much fun gossiping in swensens i think the waiters cldnt wait for us to leave.
a bunch of loud and crazy women.
but they had not many customers and they were nice enough to let us sit there and waste their water supply. (:
went to take nice neos after tt and went home.
i love going back to st nicks. not just for all the nice food.
it feels more like home than aj does. (:
and the primary sch girls are so cute la. haha. keep seeing them running about.
its good seeing all the blue pinafores around. next time we shld wear our pinafores back.
